Your Selling MINDSET: Fixed or Growth? 

A delightful exercise to begin 2024 is to select books you'll read this year, either individually or as a sales team. We recommend sales professionals read Mindset, written by Carol Dweck, Ph.D.

Why? Because during the COVID years - and even now - many sales expectations were lowered and have not recovered. In her book, Dr. Dweck observes that the view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life. 

Many sales professionals - especially the rising generations of Millennials and Gen Z's - were brought up to believe that they were already perfect and talented. But in today's environment, that fixed mindset often gives way to anxiety and depression.

On the other hand, a growth mindset buffers failure in stride with how perfect practice makes perfect. It's a process. It takes time. Being willing to keep trying - and failing along the way - is much healthier than thinking you're already there. Sales success in 2024 takes practice and patience.

We encourage you to develop a growth mindset that Dr. Dweck describes.  Let 2024 be a year of the right mindset for you, wherein you are willing to pay the price, put in the effort, and enjoy the harvest.
